Yesterday I got myself a new cellphone. It’s a Sony Ericsson Walkman phone, the almighty W810i. w00t!!!

Sony Ericsson W810i

Sony Ericsson W810i
I like the music function and the 2Mpxl Camera AND its size is almost the same with my Nokia 8250 which I still keep for my Digi number. :) cost me RM1300 AP set :( :( :(

Sony Ericsson W810i
The Walkman. Which has the Sony popular MegaBass. It come with a 512MB Memory Stick Duo (SanDisk) which can be upgraded up to 2GB 4GB.

Sony Ericsson W810i
Because its new so I throw in a screen protector for RM10 just now… with all my thumbprints on. ;)

Sony Ericsson W810i
One cool feature is the auto adjusting feature for the keypad and the LCD screen light. It increase the light intensity when you are in a dark room and reduce it when you are outside. *Thumbs Up*

Sony Ericsson W810i
And here is the camera. 2Mpxl sensor with autofocus function. Shame on you 3250…

Sony Ericsson W810i
The bundled Handsfree+ earphone(the one that we put inside our ear *yuck*)

Over all I Like it.. :)

We decided to give the dog a human like name. :) which is rather convincing… we decide it over the dinner a couple of days ago. so the name is Andrew Bonney Chapan. Andrew is being the surname… while Bonney Chapan is the name… so we call him Chapan or Bonney. There is some jokes to the name actually ;) . Chapan is the Iban name.

This puppy is one lucky dog. He recieved all the best health care available is Sarikei. Best food. and best of all more than 1 acre of land to run around freely. So he should feel sorry for his siblings in the city. Added some squirells to chase. :)

Gawai day 2

June 17, 2006 | Posted in Sarikei | Comments (3)

Gawai this year seem to involve a lot of visiting relative and wedding. The second day of Gawai, my father families decided to pay a visit to our extended relatives in Oya, near Stapang. The longhouse is freaking long !! 38 family living in that longhouse in which connected to each other by bloods. That is a bad thing for visitors during Gawai. When you visited a family then another family will invite you to their room, then another, then another… that isn’t bad right? Then you need to add up a free flowing alcohol, beer, Johnny Walker, tuak (rice wine), some white wine, soda to each room you enter. Then add up another free flowing of food in each room. Then you will get a total trip of alcohol. For some it might not be a bad thing ;) . Who would hate a free flowing alcohol at your disposals? If you come at night you might enjoy a local clubbing experience in the common area of a rumah panjang. Sound like fun…..

Back to topic…

Gawai to Oya
First room. Belongs to our closest relative. I should call the host son grandfather. So the host is my great grandfather. TWO crates of beer appear before us. My cousin showing some sign of anxiety already… I hope he’s taking his benzos ;) . I refuse the beer because I’m not a drinker when I’m with my family members, not that I hide it but I just don’t feel the fun to drink with them. I prefer my friend in the unis.. cola for me then…

Gawai to Oya
The shirtless man is our first host. Nice man and hardworking.

Gawai to Oya
The next room, more booze … and pork and soda and who-know-what-alcohol..

Gawai to Oya
The Tuai Rumah (Head of the longhouse) room. Just like before.. more beer, tuak, soda, pork, and interestingly a nice sweet alcoholic white wine that the host mistaken for a gin. I like it ;) .

Gawai to Oya
The longhouse common area. You need take a very looong walk to reach the other end. Might be a challenge if you are under influence. ;)

Gawai to Oya
Interesting thing is that the older people here spotted some tattoos on their skin. This is another close relative, my great grandfather. He is really under the influence now… ;) he share some mindless jokes with us.

Gawai to Oya
Here is some asshole drinking coke while there is free flowing beer around.

Gawai to Oya
The last room. We actually visited more room but I don’t take any picture of the other rooms.

Gawai to Oya
One for the album. Should be shouting *KAMI PENYOKONG PARTI LIBRA AKAN TERUS MENYOKONG!!! HIDUP LIBRA!!!”*

Gawai to Oya
This boy is my uncle…. :)

We go back home around 5 pm. Tired that is….

The next day…
TheHornbill and I visited Chris’ house. Even though she didn’t celebrate Gawai this year but I have promised her to come and visit her during my holiday…. so I go lah….
It was great meeting you Chris… thanks…

And some teasers for you my not so loyal readers. ;)
