We was greeted by a nice lady(No pic la). She offer a guide for us around the museum. And the first word that come out from my mouth is “free ka?”. LOL. She was confused until my friend say “Any service fee?”. Above is some of the artifact found in Gwangju area. Its made of gold.

My Public Bank debit card. :)
PB debit card
Hohoho….
Since credit card is not suitable for me, I end up applying for a debit card instead. Good enough, since I’m a student and sometime I need a credit card to do some online payment. :) :)

How to get yourself a Public Bank debit card.

1. You need to fill a form of course… head to www.pbebank.com.my or just visit the nearest PB bank branch. Tell them you want a Visa Electron card.

a. If you are applying from www.pbebank.com.my just follow this link and you will be required to fill in your details.
b. Later on you will be asked to print out the application form. This little form will require your signature and the form should be posted to PB bank together with a copy of your Malaysian NRIC or passport. *read the instructions.
c. After you send your form and documents. You need to play the waiting game ;) . In my case it was about 3 weeks. You can check your application status through PB bank card service hotline 0321768000.

2. Oh my God!!! They received the form already…
After PB bank received your documents and process your application, they will send you a letter advising you to bank in* a minimum amount of RM25 to your card. This is for completing your card application process. Then play the waiting game again….
* To bank in the money, just visit your nearest PB bank branch and fill in the Visa/Mastercard payment slip. If you have no idea, feel free to ask the customer service ;)

3. Ok after waiting for roughly 1 week. Your card should be ready. If you choose to collect it from PB bank branch, you will receive a letter notifying you about it. If you choose to receive it via mail…isn’t it obvious? You will receive it.. :|

4. I got my card.. Time to spend some money.. oh yeah!!! But….
The card should be ready for any offline transaction if you have enough money in it.
But for online payment you need to register with Verified by Visa. Well… It’s easy
a. Just head to www.pbebank.com.my and scroll down and look for Verified by Visa logo at the bottom left.
b. Click on it… Follow the instruction
c. You will be prompt to enter your Visa Electron card number and more…. *For Credit Line, just left it empty.
d. Finish up the registration and you are ready.
Word of advice: Only three try is allowed. More than that your card will be locked and you need to call PB bank card service hotline (0321768000) to unlock it.

Should be all ok now. ;)

Question and Answer
1. Will Visa electron accepted by shops
-Yes and No. Almost all shop showing the Visa sign accept the Visa Electron but some shops do not accept it. e .g Wiser (Centre Point, Kota Kinabalu). Safe to ask first then.

2. Do I need a PB bank account to apply for a debit card?
-No. Just fill in the application form and you are done.

My successful payment using Public Bank Debit card:
1. Paypal Verification (not really a payment)
2. Pay for my petrol
3. Bought a credit in Live For Speed game.
