Storm Wireless USB Adapter
September 13, 2005 | Posted in Reviews, Tech |After I encounter problems when trying to get net connection at our Library and my faculty I’ve decided to get myself a wireless card. Yup, my laptop doesn’t have any built in wireless. So after some homework and comparison, I’ve made some paper work. Then I show the paper work to my “Finance Minister”. Well I have a green light.

I found this one at my friendly local shop. The brand Storm is not really popular. Never heard of it before.

IEEE 802.11g/b
2.4Ghz~2.4836Ghz

System requirement:
Any window OS
USB port
CPU 200mhz and above
Memory 64 above

Wireless g. Notes: You must enable g standard to run at full speed 54Mbps.

Front view. 20 cent coin for size comparison.

Back view.
Just like all USB device, it tend to get hot, really hot. I don’t know how long it will last with such temperature. But since our library is very cold, the temperature will cool a little.
Now I’m sharing my entire Mp3s collection to who ever in range. Now our entertainment center/////// is playing my mp3 collection via wireless. Cool eh?
No more wire.

May I have this adapter’s driver? You may send an attachement of the driver. I only have the hardware but the driver have lost, somewhere at office.
