Yes.. another tech gadget report from the idiot.

Long long moon ago. Fred bought a new speaker system, since he is poor and still use nokia 8250 so he buy the cheap cheap one.
This is his second Edifier speaker system. His first is the R series. This one is the X series…

After long long time Fred decided to share his experience using the speaker.

This is the box.

Yes it comes with a 7 inch woofer

Yeah yeah.. it is 7 inch. I know already…

The woofer box is made from wood, which is good. Most of the cao ayam brand woofer is made of plastic and the sound suck big time.

Do not mistaken “made in” with “designed and engineered in”. This product is made in China but designs come from Canada.

You should be able to get it for RM 170 or below now. Even cheaper in Sem. Malaysia.

The woofer. Classic location is on the floor. So here it is on the floor. Where you can put your feet on.

As for all black gadget, they can easily get dusty.

This is the satellite. Oh look.. fred got a new laptop.. no lah… that is my friend’s one. This is our entertainment centre.

owh….. the experience. Not going to talk about it from a professional view but from my experience with speaker system…

We fired out the loudest clubbing techno music… and my fren say

Then we play Siti Nurhaliza-Dialah Di Hati.. Siti vocal is superb; we can hear clearly the treble sound and mid range as well as the really deep bass.
Then we play Tusau Padan’s Sape music… heck… sound nice also…
Next is System Of a Down -Toxicity, Chopsuey…. OMG!!! That is loud… bassy….the treble is there but the bass is still wining.
Not forgetting some Church songs, we fired a couple of them with ‘Classic’ setting on Winamp equalizer and low volume. Well the sound is so live.. the bass and the treble play well with ‘Classic’ setting.

Lets feng tau liao… hohoho… haha… lalalalala….
System of a down……..this song is about nothing….!!!!!!!

Next we try some movies…
National Treasure> Normal, nothing special just loud loud loud bass.
Appleseed anime> The gun battle is loud… hohohoho… *LOL*

To compare it with other better and expensive system like Altec Lansing or my sis’s Home theather system… well.. its still the loser… but I’ve seen an Altec speaker that sound worst than the X600 but has twice the price….

Final piece of sh!t:
Well.. if you are poor like me and still use Nokia 8250.. you should opt for this speaker system.. Do not buy those cheap cheap woofer (RM50-RM100) made in who-know-where that will sound terrible when you play some high bass music… For now I’m really satisfied with this Edifier X600. Kudos for Edifier for making a cheap yet reliable speaker system….

After we have X600:
1. Our room turn into a small VIP clubbing room during the weekend with Acid Rain songs, Maxwell, Jerry Kamit… plus the DIY disco light (by manipulating the computer visualization)
2. Our housemate next door is having black eyes every morning.
3. Our work finishes faster… hm….I wonder why…
